I'm missing a piece of my life...

In the spirit of Throwback Thursday, I'm throwing it back to high school. More specifically, high school ballroom. Undoubtedly, ballroom was the best part of high school. I laughed, I cried, I sweated (yes, girls to sweat. Tissa and I, we sweat like men!), I bled, I bruised, and I fell (a lot, I might add). I made friends and I learned and I grew, and I walked out of that high school with some amazing experiences. I learned how to keep going when everything seems like it's going against you. I learned how to keep my chin up. It was a long, tough road, but, man was it worth it! I got to be on JV for two years and varsity for my senior year. I didn't leave JV completely behind though - I got to TA, and I loved it! Let's take a look, shall we? Get ready for a picture overload!

My first JV team!

Vegas tour and matching sunglasses from Circus Circus

8 hour rehearsals-I'll actually have a free Christmas break this year!

 Provo comp Lindy

Competing Cirque medley at a local comp

 Cirque at Nationals

Now, onto my junior year.

Fall tour to St. George and to watch The Little Mermaid at Tuacahn!

Cha-cha!

The new 3 Stooges! Tissa, Kenna, me

Our JV girls :)

Team events at Nationals. 2nd in the Division II with How to Train Your Dragon standard medley, 3rd in Division II with Rio latin medley, and 8 time state champs! Edward and I didn't do too bad in individual competition either :).

Last year dancing for high school. It was sad!

Fall tour to St. George again
Edward and I began open latin (youth pre-champ and novice)  in October, which led to a new dress, and I also bean competing smooth!

I loved my smooth dress. And my latin dress.

I was a semi-finalist for a ballroom scholarship to BYU!
Tron's last time on the floor. I think. Thursday night I was recovering from food poisoning and danced Tron (the result being walking off the floor and collapsing-whatever you might hear, I did not lose consiousness!), so this picture may be Wednesday. Either way, we took the title in Division II latin formation!

 Celebrating after Dancin'! standard medley

Me with my two fabulous coaches during the last concert. It was sad, but we still found plenty to laugh about!

My team. My fabulous, wonderful team. How I will miss you!

It's sad to be moving on, but in the spirit of Forward Friday (yeah, totally just made that up), I can't wait to see what adventures I'll have dancing in college! Don't worry bulldogs, I'll still be there cheering you on!
