Busy Bee

The last week of summer just happened to be this past week. PSYCH! Not for me anyways :). It was also a busy week. First off...

These two celebrated their 21st anniversary on Wednesday. (This pic is from when they went to Europe for their 20th anniversary last year.) My other, adopted "parents" celebrated their anniversary on the same day as well. (They seriously could be twins. Melanie and my mom get mixed up all the time, and my dad and Bishop act similarly sometimes.)

Bishop and Melanie took off on Thursday to celebrate on their own. So,

this girl came to stay with us for a few days! We both love it when her parents are gone or my parents are gone, because then we get to stay together. :) We kicked her stay off with a visit to The Chocolate and Mulan.

On Friday, one of my friends from high school got married, so I took Kenna with me to the wedding reception. It was an adventure- we drove out to American Fork on my limited freeway driving experience and some printed directions from mapquest. Thank goodness for signs telling us where the reception was! Kamille's dress was super pretty, and there was this delicious chocolate raspberry cupcake. I also caught the bouquet....almost. Here's how much of it I got:

Yep, a flower. But, my mom is already freaking out about how I can't be the next one to get married, and Edward is hard at work finding me a husband. Yikes!

Kenna and I concluded our Friday adventure with a little High School Musical marathon. We watched all three in a row. Kenna slept a bit during the second one, but we made it through all three (unlike the last time), even though we didn't get done until 2:00 a.m. My dad even watched them with us, so we got to ring in his birthday with good ol' High School Musical. I joked with him that that was something he'd never done for his birthday before :).

This is us, being our normal crazy selves. And yes, we do watch High School Musical, Hannah Montana, and Disney movies. Don't worry, I'm totally mature enough to be in college--I'm even taking my princess Polly Pockets with me! (More on that subject later.)

Kenna left on Saturday, leaving us to spend quality family time on my dad's birthday. He sure cracks me up.

These are from the time we drove home from Idaho and he didn't have his sunglasses, so he used my mom's instead. Like the sparkles?

Of course, he's also a trooper. I made him dance the parent routine for the end of year concert with me.

He could actually keep a pretty nice dance position!

This is a little late, considering his birthday was yesterday, but thanks for all you do for me Dad! (And thanks for working at BYU so I can get discounts. It's the greatest ;) ) Happy late birthday! I love you!
