Nationals 2014? Check. This week has come and gone by so fast. In high school, it was always the focal point of the year, what we looked forward to and worked our hardest for. This year was a little different. I wasn't focused on medleys 24/7, I wasn't stressing about being in line and hitting every single arm, and I wasn't falling asleep to medley music and thinking of choreography constantly.
Instead, I was making sure I knew every bit of new choreography, stressing about keeping my left side lifted and my right shoulder away from my ear, and working to make my partner proud. We competed both novice and pre-championship smooth, and took 5th place in novice. Not bad for only dancing together for 1 month!
Making a final at nationals? Check.
Walking down the red carpet at nationals? Check.
Falling on my butt in the middle of the final? Check.
5th place after dancing with my partner for only a month? Check.
I will never forget this nationals, and I am so incredibly grateful that Andrew was willing to dance with me, and that he was so patient with me during our practices while I worked to learn the routines and pick up things that he and his previous partner had practiced for months.
I also competed in my BYU class competition, Gold I Ballroom, and took 5th place in that as well!
My beautiful hair that my incredible mom did:
Instead of dancing medleys, I was cheering my old team on. They took the state title for the 10th year in a row, and I am so happy for them! I miss them so much!

Somehow I ended up in a team picture. Not quite sure how that happened :D.
My beautiful best friend, Kenna, also danced in novice smooth and made a callback (or two? I can't remember...). Love her to death!!
It's been a fantastic year, and I'm excited to see what next year brings!
P.S. Sorry for the picture overload ;).
