I know that my Redeemer lives.
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, he lives, who once was dead.
He lives, my ever-living Head.
He lives to bless me with his love.
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed.
He lives to bless in time of need.
He lives to grant me rich supply.
He lives to guide me with his eye.
He lives to comfort me when faint.
He lives to hear my soul's complaint.
He lives to silence all my fears.
He lives to wipe away my tears.
He lives to calm my troubled heart.
He lives all blessings to impart.
He lives, my kind, wise heav'nly Friend.
He lives and loves me to the end.
He lives, and while he lives, I'll sing.
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.
He lives and grants me daily
breath.
He lives, and I shall conquer death.
He lives my mansion to prepare.
He lives to bring me safely there.
He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
"I know that my Redeemer lives!"
He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
"I know that my Redeemer lives!"
Hymn No. 136, LDS Hymn Book. Text by Samuel Medley; music by Lewis D. Edwards
I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church of God, restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that God is our Heavenly Father, and that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to the earth to show us the way back home and to atone for our sins so that returning home can be possible.
I know that Heavenly Father both hears and answers our prayers, that He loves us with an infinite, unconditional, perfect love. I know that He is always watching over us and that He is always there, even when it doesn't seem like it.
I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, that it was translated through the power of God, and that it was prepared specifically for our day. I love this book, and I know that it is true.
I know that Joseph Smith was called of God to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth in its fullness. I know that the prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, is also called of God.
I am so grateful for the gospel, for its goodness. I am grateful for the Holy Ghost, for Jesus Christ, and for my Heavenly Father. I know that all of it is true, and I know that I can receive personal comfort and guidance. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me, and I know that He loves you too. He wants us to come back to Him so that we can live with Him and have perfect joy. I love Him, and I love His Son, and I love His gospel.
My challenge to everyone this week is to find a way to share your own testimony. The Spirit will testify to you the truth. Have a wonderful week!
