[I should put more effort into creative titles. But I don't want to. And it feels cheesy. And I just started three sentences with the words "but" and "and," which are usually big no-nos. But I don't care at the moment.]
Last weekend was the BYU Dancesport Championships.
It was a long and busy weekend, full of ups and downs, lots of rhinestones, hairspray, and sore feet.
I had a beautiful new dress. I was beaming as I danced in it, according to my coach.
Pardon the blurry.
Pardon the blurry.
I owe my mom, Robbie, and Emma for all of their creativity and hard work to make this dress beautiful. I couldn't have done it without them.
We managed to win Pre-Championship smooth. I was completely shocked, and I feel so blessed. We competed against AMAZING dancers.
We had to rush from the awards straight into Amateur Ballroom. We didn't make a callback, but I didn't care. It was our last event of the competition, and I was extremely ready for a good night's sleep, free from the hair-do that I had slept in for the past two nights.

I got a call on Monday night from AJ, reminding me that it's been a year since we stopped dancing together.
What a year it has been! I am so grateful for the things I've learned and how much I've grown in that year. Trust me, there has been tons of learning and growing in the past year.
Here's to another one.
