It's always amazing to me what happens when you TRY to feel the Spirit during church.
Some days I let myself get distracted and zone off and look things up on the internet that have to do with something we are talking about in the lesson.
Other days I take notes and actively listen.
Today was a mix of both, but the difference was that I went ready to feel the Spirit.

| I couldn't find a picture of a church that I wanted to use, so you get this picture I took of the Provo Temple instead. |
We had an incredible lesson in Relief Society (I love the word incredible. It gives me this feeling of something being so great and wonderful, of being able to do great and important things) today. Our Relief Society president instructed us all to sit by someone that we didn't know, and then get to know them. I sat by Karen and Bridget, and I had a distinct feeling of love for them and a small sense of how incredible they were by the end of the lesson.
We were told that we were going to watch President Russell M. Nelson's talk, A Plea to My Sisters, from the October General Conference this year. Along with listening, we were asked to pull out a notebook and write down inspiration we had from the Spirit as we listened, particularly those regarding questions that we had and things we had been thinking about.
Off we went.
And it was wonderful! My new goal from watching that talk again is to share goodness. The whole talk left me with a sense of purpose, that I am capable of doing great things. {Read it, listen to it, or watch it here, even if you've already heard it. I will be rereading it plenty!} One way that I am going to focus my efforts on sharing goodness more is on this little blog of mine. I don't know how many people read it, but that is my intent - to share goodness. There are so many wonderful opportunities and tender mercies and amazing things in this life that I think should be recognized more often than we do.

I read a recent post by Al Fox Carraway on her blog today called, Why I Didn't Deactivate My Facebook." She talks about how she could be the one to share goodness amidst all of the judgment and confusion and contention that she was seeing on Facebook. Completely perfect for what I am thinking about.
Join me in my effort to share goodness. Challenge: post something uplifting on one form of social media once this week - Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. #ShareGoodness.
