Little Things I Love

1. I'm currently on my third semester of TA-ing (teacher's assistant) beginning dance classes at BYU. Before that, I TA-ed my high school's junior varsity ballroom dance team during my senior year. And I love teaching. Dance classes, Relief Society, ward activities, etc. I love teaching. Hopefully I'll be able to work teaching into my life in some way after I graduate (besides becoming a mom, of course!). I've loved the classes I've taught. Especially teaching dance. Even though I'm not the actual teacher, I still love watching these "kids" (anyone  I teach I end up referring to as a "kid") learn how to dance, many of them for the first time. I love their enthusiasm, their reactions to learning new steps and watching us demonstrate them. Even if it's a dramatic groan, or lots of questions that I'm not 100% sure how to answer, I still love it.

2. As you know, we were in Nauvoo a couple of weeks ago. I got the chance to watch the BYU Ballroom Dance  Company's show. It's something that I've seen a lot, in scattered bits and pieces, but I actually got to see it as an audience member. And one of the best parts of the show was listening to the audience. Once again, I loved hearing them experience it for the first time. It was so fun to listen to the laughter and the "ooohs." I mentioned that I set next to a guy from Iowa during one of the shows. He thought the dancers were all just incredible people and that the show was the most graceful thing he'd ever seen. During the show, he was dying about how amazing it was, how talented they were, etc. I absolutely loved hearing it.

Really, that's all I wanted to share. Just two of the little things that I've enjoyed lately. Life's all about the little things!
