You Never Know

I've been thinking a lot lately about how incredible people are. Each individual person we come across has unlimited talents and abilities, many of which we never see. You can be walking down the hall at school, or across the street, and see twenty different people with twenty different talents. Someone could be crazy good at football while the person next to them could be a whiz at problem solving. The thing is, you never know.

 

Right now, I'm studying to be an athletic trainer. As part of my program, this semester I have the opportunity to work with some pretty incredible women. They know their stuff, and I have seen them make huge differences in the lives of the students they work on. You would never know that by just look at them.

So often we judge people and form our opinions of them based on what we don't see. You can't look at someone walking down the street and know that they are a world champion just by looking at them. You don't know how good of a listener someone is just by brushing past them in the mall. Sitting next to someone at a soccer game doesn't mean that you know they are extremely proficient at playing the piano or how long it took them to get to that point. 

 

You never know.
